AI Scouting Platform for Football's Transfer Market
MARACANA is a FIFA-licensed agency moving young players from South American and regional leagues into European clubs — a market that runs on FIFA transfer regulations, agent mandates and contract windows.
We designed and built their working platform: a parser that collects season stats for thousands of players, a proprietary PSI index that ranks them, and an AI matcher that answers a club's request with a shortlist and the reasons behind it.
Scouts drown in spreadsheets. Raw season stats don't say who is actually progressing, who is free of an agent, whose contract expires in time for the window — and every club request restarts the same manual hunt across thousands of rows.
One pipeline: parsers collect minutes, goals and contracts league by league; the PSI formula turns raw seasons into a comparable index with league strength and age factors; and a Fit Score engine ranks the whole base against a club's request — position, budget, passport, contract runway — explaining every match in plain words.
HTML parsers with proxy rotation collect league stats across Série A–D and regional leagues, surviving anti-bot walls and partial seasons.
The client's scoring model implemented as versioned formulas (v1.0–1.7) with a calibration room to tune league coefficients against real transfers.
A filterable database — position, age, foot, passport, contract, agent status — with player cards, minute-growth charts and document export.
Club requests parsed into hard filters and soft weights; every candidate gets a Fit Score with human-readable reasons, ranked in seconds.
The value is the combination the market actually pays for: youth plus minutes. A 19-year-old whose share of league minutes jumped from 26% to 93% is a signal no spreadsheet surfaces on its own — the platform puts that player at the top of the right club's list, with the contract and agent situation already checked.
